I don't think I hurt the story's momentum. I was only in there for two seconds!
Regardless, don't you think my song should have been on the soundtrack album? At one point it was going to be re-recorded by someone "famous" for the tail credits, but after that idea evaporated, everything went downhill from there!
Noooo, you, my friend, were right there keeping the momentum up! And yes, clearly your song belongs on the soundtrack album. It was the title track, right? In fact I will now formally announce my boycott of the Eytan-Mirsky-less American Splendor soundtrack.
Thanks. Yes, how can you have a soundtrack album for the film without the song "American Splendor"! In fact one guy from from Vancouver e-mailed last week expressing his outrage about this and asking where to get the song. I gave him a free CD-r along with the purchase of one of my CD's, and he agreed to post his outrage on the amazon.com page. Unfortunately it's been a week and they still haven't listed his or any other reviews.
For those interested: the album is just old jazz songs and the two versions of "Ain't that Peculiar" along with the obligatory two score cuts.
Hope Davis IS the greatest.
