Reader responses to Daniel Okrent's disappointing column on whether the Times is a "liberal newspaper". (He essentially reduced the question to "Is the news section sufficiently dubious about gay marriage?")

The business section goes to Wisconsin Dells to find out how the middle class is doing, but it's full of anecdotal stuff like this:
"Eight years ago, before we had children, we used to go out to dinner with friends all the time, and we don't do that anymore," said Herb Blum, who earns $50,000 a year at a printing company near Chicago and was spending his vacation in a campground here.
Those of you who have had kids in the last eight years: Is the economy the reason you don't go out to dinner so much?

The travel section is where we find out that the U.S. has been shackling and deporting reporters. Also, there's a new Underground Railroad museum in Cincinnati.

From Week in Review: Should hostage videos be televised? And should the Philippines have negotiated with terrorists?
