in the express line

The guy in front of me: Eight packets of ramen, some Top and some Maruchan.

The guy behind me: Five lukewarm Krispy Kremes, Lu Fondant cookies, two different kinds of quasi-medicinal shampoo.

Me: Orange juice, sparkling mineral water, two "mini" Boboli pizza shells.

Imagine the feasts waiting for us.

new track

At last, there's a new track on the web site: "Snowblinded". There was a slower version on the work-in-progress page, but this one is better; not just faster, but it features my brand new melodica, and a serendipitous chorus effect.

The first track I laid down for this song was the acoustic guitar. I didn't realize until after I finished the take that I'd forgotten to tune it--it was in tune with itself, but slightly off concert pitch. So I tuned up and recorded another take. When I played it back, I accidentally played both the in-tune and the out-of-tune takes--and it sounded great. So that's why the guitar sounds like a 12-string.

time warp

Just backdated the last four posts by a day. Apparently my clock got pushed forward by 24 hours somehow. Still feel a little shaky.
