Mar. 16th, 2003 10:42 pmStone Reader was wonderful. The story is, a man reads a 1972 novel that got great reviews but didn't sell well, and the author dropped from sight. Never published another word, nobody knows what happened to him. The man then becomes obsessed with tracking down the novelist to find out what happened.
That's the story, and wrapped around it are two hours about the love of reading, writing, and the passage of time. It's gorgeous. See it if you can.
