Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) issued a study on who Bush's dividend tax cut will benefit. If you don't want to read the nine-page PDF file, this chart (seen on Atrios) pretty much sums it up.

Of course, as noted in January, 19% of Americans believe they are among the richest 1%, so this is good news for them.

From an MSNBC article on a new University of Chicago study:
... most Americans really think adulthood begins at age 26, according to a new study from the University of Chicago. The study said most people don’t consider a person grown up until they finish school, get a full-time job and start raising a family.

MoveOn.org, which gained fame as an anti-Iraq-war organization, gets into the FCC rule changes debate.
Companies like Clear Channel argue that economies of scale allow them to cut costs while continuing to provide quality programming. But they do so at the expense of local coverage. It's not just about emergency warnings: media mergers are decreasing coverage of local political races, local small businesses, and local events. There are only a third as many owners of newspapers and TV stations as there were in the 1970s (about 600 now; over 1,500 then). It's harder and harder for Americans to find out what's going on in their own back yards.
They've made it bewilderingly hard to find the petition, but go sign it anyway.
