gig report

Too tired, too stressed, way too hot, didn't practice enough, didn't sleep enough, struggling with new or little-used equipment. I just wasn't on tonight, and it was frustrating, because I love playing with Scott and I love playing with Dave and I loved playing for the first time with both of them together. I think I sounded okay, but I wanted to sound better.

Fortunately I have a chance to sound better on Saturday with Russell, and another next Thursday with Dave. And the equipment will be a little less unfamiliar. And maybe I'll have slept, although odds aren't looking so good right now.

Good news: Ted from Sylvan Music called to let me know he thinks they've fixed the buzz in the mandolin I want. I shouldn't go down to Santa Cruz tomorrow, but I should go on Saturday, verify that it's fixed, and take it home. Yay.
