(no subject)

Hey, guys, Scott Andrew posted a new song. I'm mentioning this because it's a good song, but also because I played on it, in our space-age way. Scott sent me the basic tracks, I recorded my mandolin and backing vocals in my living room, I sent them back, and then he repeated the process with Shannon Campbell, only I don't know what room she recorded her backing vocal in.

A few weeks ago I drove from Iowa to Minnesota with my sister Kate, with only the music on my iPod to listen to. For several hours she remained unimpressed with my entire music collection, but then "Cut the Wire" came on--an earlier demo version. "See," my sister explained, "this is driving music! This is the kind of music you should have more of!" I agree.

Scott actually posted two new songs. Somewhat embarrassingly, I like the one I don't play on even better.
