Apr. 20th, 2004 10:04 amCouple of music things:
First, sounds like Scott's show was great (and he's not the only one who think so), which makes me grin a lot. Check out the photos.
Second, I've been playing with AudioScrobbler, a web site that builds a musical profile from the MP3s you play. Allegedly it will someday connect me with other people who listen to similar music, and other music I might enjoy. But for now it's just some statistics: What have I played lately (Willard Grant Conspiracy), what have I played a lot (Ida). And also who's been playing my songs.
(You know who I've always said Scott's music reminds me of? Run-DMC and Triumph the Insult-Comic Dog.)
Yesterday I spent some time leafing through Brag! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It. It's really a business book, but it seemed like it might be useful for the reluctantly self-promoting musician.
