music acquired
Nov. 18th, 2004 10:16 pmFound used at Tower: Brian Wilson's Smile and Bjork's Medulla. Do I like many-layered vocal harmony? Yes I do.
Also: the UK edition of Gemma Hayes's first album. I don't usually fall for this kind of almost-the-same record, but the album was SO GREAT, I can't bear to think there are Gemma Hayes songs I'm missing out on.
Along similar lines, I was tempted by The Best of Mandy Moore (not kidding), solely because it includes some live tracks and I'm fatally curious whether she's good outside of the studio. I didn't buy it, though... yet.
Obtained by other means: Starry, Starry Night, a Christmas album by local duo Greg and Bev. If you're looking for Christmas music--and I know not everyone is--check this out.
