Paul O'Reilly's First Thing in the Morning is really good, in that Nick Drake vein. I can't find any audio samples for you, but if you have some disposable income and/or trust me too much, just go buy it from Miles of Music.
Shopping at Circuit City in Massachusetts is painful because anybody who actually knows anything about circuits can find a better job at a tech company. In a small city, however, Circuit City might be the best employer for 100 miles and the guy who installs car stereos can be a real craftsman.
