(no subject)

Sheet music and instructional books, mostly for [livejournal.com profile] juliansinger but maybe you'll want some too:

Irish & Trad, more or less:

Jazz and jazzy:

Rock & Pop and the like:

Classicalish:

Hey, remember when Gemma Hayes made one of my favorite albums of the new millennium? She's playing at Slim's on the 27th, but apparently it's a secret--you won't find tour dates on her site. No wait, it's not a secret, it's just bad management. Anyway, I'm so going.

(She's opening for Athlete, on whose site the dates can be found, buried in Flash.)

The Fiddler's Fakebook (David Brody)
Bluegrass Mandolin (Jack Tuttle)
(Not that you care, but I'll probably give these to my brother.)

Introduction to Roots Guitar (Doug Cox)
Best Songs from the Lomax Collections for Pickers and Singers, voice/melody + chords
Acoustic Guitar Primer for Beginners (Bert Casey)

Patterns for Jazz (Jerry Coker et al.), treble clef instruments
Scott Joplin: Collected Piano Works (Vera Brodsky Lawrence, ed.)
The Standards Real Book (all nice and legal), lead sheets + lyrics

Steely Dan Complete, piano + guitar + voice

J. S. Bach: Two-Part Inventions (Willard A. Palmer, ed.), piano
A Little Keyboard Book: Eight Tunes of Colonial Virginia Set for Piano or Harpsichord (J. S. Darling)
George Gershwin's Preludes for Piano
Classics to Moderns in the Intermediate Grades (Denes Agay, ed.), piano

If other people want stuff, just holler-- I'm pretty flexible except for the Colonial Virginia, the Steely Dan, and the Mandolin thing.

Also, Erik, you rock.

Oh goody!

The illegal real books, jobim, and bacharach, please! Unless the real books don't have lyrics, then those can go to someone else.

Thanks!

No lyrics. So far, by the way, the only place I've found to donate sheet music is Bridge to Asia (http://www.bridge.org/), but they probably don't need illegal fake books. Hmm. Anyway, I'll send the Jobim and Bacharach.

Done.

Sent, except for the Fiddler's Fakebook, which didn't fit in the box. I'll send it separately or with the next batch of stuff if there's another batch of stuff soon.
