Does the T still take tokens? Does anyone want, uh, five of them?

What about NYC subway tokens?

A set of Martin acoustic guitar strings (medium)? Some blank staff paper?

One of the CD display racks Oasis sent me?

Rugs, blankets, construction paper, blocks, marbles, games, tools, nails, screws, frames, office supplies, art supplies, clothes hangers, clothes hampers, looseleaf binders, report covers, chairs, desks, a 48-disc CD wallet, CD shelves, bookshelves, shelf lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, light bulbs, clocks, an end table, a coffee table, a futon, pots, pans, dishes, a busted melodica, blank videotapes, a DVD player?

Is my compulsive inability to throw things away ridiculous yet?

I guess I'm mostly looking for locals to take this stuff, except for the subway tokens. And mostly the smaller items--the furniture can go to Goodwill.

Yes, the MBTA still uses tokens. I'll take them if you want to dump them.

I'll take the NYC token if [livejournal.com profile] ahkond doesn't also want that.

I'd express interest in other stuff, but you know... not local.

That looks like a Zork inventory.

tokens are still tender currency, s'far's I know.

games? *perk*
art supplies?

Blank staff paper! is it just me, or has that stuff gotten rare?

Much of the hardware, office and art supply stuff could be donated to http://scrap-sf.org/

also tools! nd maybe lamps. Wanna come over for dinner? I could cook you a meal, which I do nicely and I can observe and and all dietary restrictions, preferences and predilictions with the sigle exception of Kosher, because that horse has left the barn and my cookware and dishes are already meat/milk mixed and would have to undergo a really involved and costly ritual to be kosher.

Well, so much for my plan to convert this weekend.

I'll try to answer this tomorrow in a better mood.

I could totally use blankets...this new house is very cold and the one I have just isn't enough anymore. Also the cd wallet would be fantastic.

Just out of curiosity, how exactly do you "bust" a melodica?

In this case, by letting, probably, exposure to the elements and the accretion of saliva to warp some of the reeds slightly out of tune, followed by cracking the thing open and attempting to fix it. With soap and water. I don't remember too clearly.

I'll bring some stuff to the show tomorrow.

You should really stop this whole "getting wasted and trying to repair the melodica" thing. People are worried about you. Well okay, not about you, about the melodica.

I wouldn't HAVE to get drunk if my melodica worked right.

Okay, after taking careful stock of my schedule and stress level I think I have to decline your generous offer. Coffee during the day (like, before rush hour) would be easier. Thank you, though.

It turns out my art supplies had already been mostly cleaned out--all I've got left is some sketchbooks and construction paper. And a Zen Board (http://www.uncommongoods.com/item/item.jsp?itemId=11864), which is not so much art supply as artsy. And some frames and mats and hanging supplies. And two artist's figurines. From IKEA.

Which is also where the lamps are mostly from. I can't look them all up right now, but, uh, I don't know, there's a squarish one with cloudy glass, and a round one with white glass, and, uh, a smaller one than that... all those are table lamps... a non-IKEA white torchiere (?) lamp... and a bunch of little lights that clip or screw onto shelves.

Let me know if you want any of these, plus I have books for you still, plus possibly Rick Moody's The Ring of Brightest Angels Around Heaven if you want it, although I might already have donated that somewhere.

Will you be around tomorrow? Or what about Thursday?
