I haven't been to the Bottom of the Hill that much, but I don't think I've ever seen it less crowded than it was tonight, which is a shame because it was a great night.

Firecracker sound sort of like Wilco before their mad-scientist phase.

Virgil Shaw has one of those voices that squeal when they turn corners too fast.

Tim Easton and his band almost didn't make it--their red minivan broke down on I-5 and they had to fly here from the Bakersfield airport and borrow gear from the other bands. But they were still great.

Additional notes: There was a woman there who looked sad to be playing pinball. There was a woman there who looked angry, but I think she was just practicing. There was a man there who wished he'd brought a pen. There was a sticker there for my new favorite band name: The Rock Beats Scissors.
