Madonna is offering one (1) MP3 for $1.49.

Forrester Research analyst Josh Bernoff called the Madonna’s [sic] move "brilliant," saying she’s charging consumers for music that otherwise [sic] could be taken off the Internet for free. In addition, Madonna is getting the e-mail addresses of people who have downloaded the track to use for future promotions. And, Bernoff says the track is linked to her fan Web sites - forming a partnership with her fan base.

Brilliant!
