1. I want to be The Postal Service, if only briefly. This is the problem with all my rock star fantasies: To be any good at being some particular thing, you have to spend a lot of time being it--more time than I have the attention span for. Still, I'm thinking again about dragging a keyboard out to some gigs.

2. "Nothing Better" was everything [livejournal.com profile] rollerboogie said it would be. Especially the part where Ben and Jenny cross sides while Ben plays tambourine and Jenny uh hits something with a stick. Yes.

3. Note to clubs: When you book bands that play dancy pop, please contrive to sell few enough tickets that there is enough room for at least one person to dance. I'm no dancer myself--I'm a committed swayer--but there wasn't even enough room for me.

4. This was the first concert I've been to in some time that involved video. The last two were Steve Reich in San Francisco and Ornette Coleman at Lincoln Center. Those were different.

Yeah, the cover didn't really work--it felt like they didn't put enough into it.

Outhouse the venue in Los Gatos?
