Here's a hack for logging referrers to pages on sites where you can't access the logs--like, LiveJournal. The default implementation lists referrers on the linked-to pages themselves, but it could probably be adapted to log quietly.

I saw that a while back (I think I found it off girlie's MovableType tips site. I liked the idea, but logging to text files bothered me. I started to hack up something using PHP and MySQL based on Steve's code, which can be found here, if anyone's interested.
