Proposed regulations may hinder the food industry in Europe. The idea is that it will be illegal to advertise health benefits of foods that are unhealthy--like, if a food is made entirely of sugar, you won't be able to market it as a low-sodium snack, even though it does have no sodium. The article worries about companies "that mainly sell foods or drinks that are high in fat, sugar or salt - like Cadbury Schweppes of Britain and Hershey Foods and McDonald's of the United States." But, um, who's buying candy bars for their health?
