three and the same
More editing, another attempt at the vocal, and my very first bass line. Really, I'm going to stop fiddling with this one.
I uploaded the new version to the web site, but I can't scrounge up enough bandwidth there to make sure it uploaded okay. Some other people tell me the site's working for them.
Can anyone recommend a hosting service with decent bandwidth and no terms-of-service restrictions on hosting MP3s?
I finally added a domain alias 'journal.drowning.org', in case I decide to leave LiveJournal someday, but I can't seem to get that to work either.
In happier news, Netflix is sending me The Truth About Charlie, which has one of my favorite DVD extras ever. The film is a remake of the Cary Grant-Audrey Hepburn movie Charade; a lot of reviews of the remake talked about how great the original was. So, they threw in the original on the DVD.

How did you record the bass (and what is it?)
Re: trax
It's a Dean fretless acoustic bass (http://www.deanguitars.com/prodcat/customer/product.php?productid=19019&cat=301&page=1), recorded direct (via the Mackie mixer you recommended ages ago). And I added some EQ and some compression, but I'm not sure they're doing much.
