(no subject)

I bought a car. I feel a little nauseous about the cost (given my lack of employment status), but once I'm done with that I'll feel good about the car--a dealer-certified 2001 Corolla that should last me a long time, especially if I suddenly develop good auto maintenance habits.

congrats

What did you do -- trade in my car? :-)

Also, did you get that transmission noise looked at on the
Saturn? I can't remember. I never knew there was any issue.

Yeah, the Saturn belongs to Toyota of Palo Alto now. Longer reply in email.

my very first car was a 1990 toyota corolla, white. i bought it in '99 and i think it had something like 160,000 miles on it at that point. it was a good, clean car, but the radiator busted after i'd had it a few months...but that was the only problem i had with her...

...at least until a bus decided to plow into me.

but hey! congrats! toyota's and honda's are great can't-fail cars.

I thought Toyotas were supposed to be reliable! And now you tell me a little bus can take one out.

We're still driving our 1990 Camry, with well over 100,000 miles by now, and it hasn't given us much trouble.

Erik picked me up at the airport yesterday, and his new car is nice. And it doesn't make that noise.

And MY Toyota got taken out by a pick-up truck. Accident magents, I'd say.

Happy driving.

hey
