(no subject)

TMFTML conjectures about yesterday's all-DVD Arts & Leisure section:
Either one of the bigwigs at the paper just got a home theatre system and decided, 'Hey, this new technology is just the kind of cutting-edge subject that would bring young people back to regular newspaper reading,' or The Times' arts staff resolved to consciously pay tribute to the paper's famous 1982 pull-out section whose articles all centered around the revolutionary possibilities of Betamax (our favorite piece was John J. O'Connor's 'We'll Never Watch "Manimal" the Same Way Again').
So there you go.
