Lost in Translation was brilliant. Don't let [livejournal.com profile] artname or [livejournal.com profile] sethm tell you different. Oh, and if you're trying to remember where I've seen Scarlett Johansson before, the answer is, she was Enid's friend Rebecca in Ghost World.

Also, how great is it that Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star is opening on the same day as the new Macaulay Culkin movie?

i really really want to see party monster. i read some stories about the guy macaulay culkin's portraying and i'm terribly intirgued.

the times had an interview in the calendar section the other day with some of the real life former child stars who make cameo's in the movie as dickie roberts' poker buddies. pretty funny stuff.

She was that, but I remember her more from The Man Who Wasn't There.

I don't think the greatness of that poetic match overcomes the evil of the movie's existence. (OK, I'm being judgemental.)

I thought you might have really liked it.
I am in the adoration category.
I thought it was a brilliant sophomore release by Sofia Coppola, and her growth shows. I am looking forward to more of her work. I liked The Virgin Suicides despite some quirks I was uncomfortable with, but this was smooth as could be I think.
