on the road

jfbTomorrow morning I start my cross-country-and-back driving trip. There are two categories of questions people have been asking me, so here are the answers:
Will you be updating from the road? When I can. I won't have a computer or net of my own, but I will be staying with friends who do, and I'll be hanging out in coffeehouses which might. I have a digital camera and a paper journal for notes, so when I can get online I'll try to post something entertaining.
Will you be playing gigs? I don't have anything booked. I'll be hitting a lot of open mikes, which I mostly won't be publicizing because (a) it feels weird to say "come watch other people for hours so you can maybe see me play for ten minutes" and (b) my schedule's subject to change, and I'd hate it if someone did come out for my ten minutes and I didn't show up.
That said, I'll probably let people know once I have firm plans for Boston and Minneapolis. There are also a couple of possibilities still open for shows; I'll find a way to publicize here if anything comes through.
