(no subject)

Sometimes I get into a mood where everything strikes me as sad, and the things that really are sad strike me as immeasurably tragic.

Like, tonight at the supermarket when I saw the DVD of Bring It On Again, the straight-to-video sequel to the Kirsten Dunst cheerleading movie Bring It On, and as I scanned through the cast of no-name hopefuls, I thought: I'm going to miss civilization. Was I overreacting? Probably.

Wait, I don't get it. Bring it On Again doesn't sound like a good idea but it hardly seems likely to topple civilization.

civilization

You'll miss it when... the bomb falls? When you move to the midwest (if you move)? When you start working again? When you get a TiVo and stop watching rental DVDs? When... Eliza Dushku stars in a good movie which means the end of the world?

At least it's not a pointless sequel to a bad movie...

clearly you haven't seen the commercials on TV for that...

Commercials! No, I've been kind of out of touch for the last few weeks. Something else to look forward to.

you might be too late. bring on on again's advertising budget couldn't have been more than $50.
