Newness-obsessed architecture critic Herbert Muschamp on a see-through library for Brooklyn. The pictures are stunning (unfortunately, too small in the web edition). But they display the clarity of an empty building. What will it look like with stuff in it?

Since they'd be just awful for books or art (sun damage, anyone?), maybe the sticky-outy clear bits will be the rehearsal spaces. Make that ballet class even more nerve-wracking that it was before!
