(no subject)

I drove to Duluth for the open mike at the venue where I'll be playing on Friday.

On the way north the cloud cover got closer and closer to the ground, inspiring briefly the delusion that I was traveling not only to one of the northernmost parts of the contiguous states, but to the actual top of the world.

Josh Rouse's song "Love Vibration" makes me insane with glee. ("Yeah you people all know what he's talking about.") Also I hope one day to write an opening line as great as P.J. O'Connell did for "Mrs. Jerk". ("Well, let's be fair--dinner was not that bad.")

On the way south I passed a theater that is screening WICKER PRK, probably because ANACONDAS exhausted their supply of A.

Those are endangered, aren't they? A's, that is.

The saddest part is, they used to roam free all over the Great Plins. Although they were never as ubiquitous here as in lska or Arknss.

O_O I think I love you.

Josh Rouse is great.

Wicker Prk? But I hardly ...

He's been one of those people who has a few songs on each album that I absolutely love, and then I'm disappointed by the rest of them. 1972 is his most consistent one yet, though, in terms of me liking it. Wow, it is too early to write clearly.

i think we've talked about my love for josh previously, and i'd probably have to agree that 1972 is his most consistent record. i think flute solos are synonymous with glee.

Yeah, honestly, I have a shameful anti-flute bias in general, but on that album they're just perfect.

Any sign-maker worth his salt should have figured out to use an upside-down V. Sheesh.
