Aug. 27th, 2004 12:36 amAround Christmas, remember, I drove to Minnesota to visit family and explore the local music scene. While I was there I took my poor winter-innocent Corolla to the Amoco station near my parents' house for scheduled maintenance. (It was fine.)
Last month the Amoco station sent me the standard "Based on our records, it's time to bring your car back in--and here's a tiny discount!" postcard. Not that useful, since I'm some 2000 miles away.
... Except that I'm about to drive back up. By the time I get there and make some side trips, I may actually get a chance to use the coupon. I like the idea of being a regular customer who lives half a country away.
