Nov. 6th, 2005 12:48 pmMy favorite session so far was A&R people playing demo records long enough to assess them. It doesn't take long.
Last night I took a bus down to the Regent Showcase to see I Love Your Work, a film by Adam Goldberg and starring Giovanni Ribisi as a paranoid actor/celebrity losing his grip. Confusing but recommended. Goldberg and Ribisi were in attendance for a Q&A in which Goldberg noted that some aspects of the film were more comprehensible on a second viewing, but it had been hard to get people to see it again.
The notable feature of this trip to LA has been the constantly falling asleep--at the movies, in conference sessions, sitting down to read a book, I'll fall asleep anywhere. I started the week sleep-deprived but I caught up fast--something else is going on.
