  1. It's not so much that I Heart Huckabees was only occasionally funny. It's more like I occasionally stepped sideways into the parallel universe where the whole movie was funny. I might have made it there more often if not for the people behind me talking about how weird/dumb it was.

I'm not sure whether I liked it. I'll let you know if I find out.

  2. More links to Jon Stewart on Crossfire. Seriously.

I thought that bit with Mark Walburg signing out the bikes was unbelievably perfect. Also Lily Tomlin and Dustin Hoffman sneaking through the sprinklers. Beautiful.

Yeah, the signing out the bikes was maybe my favorite little comic moment in the whole thing: That the guy yells at them to do it. And that Wahlberg stops to comply.

I thought it was trying *too* hard to be funny. I liked some aspects of it...more to come in a review post.

I loved when Jon Stewart called the guy a dick. That was priceless.

Or, as the Washington Post quoted it (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A37042-2004Oct15_3.html): "You're as big a [male pride] on your show as you are on any show."
