Most of these are about to disappear behind the wall of pay, but here's some stuff from last Sunday's Arts section anyway:

Gay composers defined the American sound, but can you hear it in the music?

A brief history of museum lighting. Last year the Dia Art Foundation opened a space lit almost entirely by natural light, which was exciting and new... and, by necessity, how all museums were lit until 1857.

"Massive Change", a Vancouver exhibit of design to change the world.

Photographs of American embassies.

Playlist: "Fans of the Jayhawks and Josh Rouse" should like Dolorean, so I guess I should like Dolorean. Ada sounds interesting, too, but I've found electronica always sounds more interesting before I actually hear it.

thanks for the NYT museum lighting article, I have been slipping on my sunday supplement reading, and would have hated to miss this.

I almost missed that--I often skip the articles about New York museums, they either leave me bored or jealous--but I'm glad I didn't.

It always amazes me how new things like, you know, incandescent lights are.

Let me know how Dolorean is. I've resisted checking them out because, well, it's just too soon, Erik.

I like the tracks I illegally downloaded. I'll tell you when I've bought and assessed the new CD.
