So from my cursory reading, the big topics on blogs are:
  • High turnout, everywhere except [livejournal.com profile] tombking's precinct.
  • Problems with voting machines.
There's even trouble in my county! Santa Clara County voters are supposed to have a choice of paper or machine ballots... but the election workers don't really know how to handle the paper ones. Aaand, a machine in Santa Clara can't save votes. Check out the picture.

I don't care. I'm excited.

Well I don't know. The polling place is for my precinct only not multiple ones like others that the poll workers talked about. So depending on how King County divides things up that might have been heavy turn out. I do know that most days I vote after work at 6pm or so an I am usually voter number 15 or so for the day. This morning at 8am I was number 20 so that was definitely higer than normal for them. Washington state also has a large rate of absentee ballot voting, something like 2/3 of the ballots cast in most elections.
