stuff that's happening

A recent songwriting morning involved opening up an American road atlas and picking out cities.

I'm planning to move my web site soon. There's a strong chance that it will be inaccessible for a while, and a small possibility that www2 or www3 will continue to work. I'm mentioning this mostly to give Google a chance to see them.

Can anyone think of a street in Los Angeles that one might go for a drive on (i.e., not to get somewhere, but just to go out) that's actually named _______ Street? All the ones I can think of are Boulevards, or maybe Avenues. And one Drive.

I am at this moment watching Spice World.

Picabo Street.

Main Street in Santa Monica.

Hm, yeah, that's the sort of place I'm looking for... but I'm looking for something to use in a song, and the phrase "Main Street" is already laden with meaning.

Maybe I can work it in, though. Thanks.

Third street.

Hm, I never realized that most major thoroughfares are Boulevards and Avenues. Interesting. And, as such, I'm useless and of no help whatsoever. Sorry.

Spice World: So bad it's good, or just plain bad?

I think it's hilarious. I think that's about 80% laughing with and 20% laughing with, but it's hard to draw the line because the movie knows it's ridiculous, so it's sort of laughing at itself, you know?
