I may be taking a short trip to southern California. Possible things to do, so far:

• Pirates of the Caribbean at the El Capitan.
• The Quiet American (1958) on Sunday at UCLA.
• Grant Lee Phillips (Saturday) or Michael Penn (Monday) at Largo.
• The Weepies at Room 5 on Tuesday.
• Doctor Zhivago, Sunday or Monday at the Bay Theater.
• Bad Education at the Art Theater.
• Richard Swift on Monday at Detroit Bar.

I may also go outside at some point.

Parents are in Orange County, uncles are having birthdays, seemed like the right time to visit. It's mostly not an LA trip, but LA Weekly's new issue is online and OC Weekly's isn't.
