New song on the web site: "You Were Watching the Sky." I wrote part of this in, I think, 2002, and the rest of it in December. It's nice to know that sometimes those fragments do get finished. As for the recording, I have no idea why there's so much reverb, or why the harmony vocals are so faint. It's like a stranger mixed it. Well, we can fix it in post.
Russell and I may debut the Altamont Pass version of this, and will certainly debut something, next Friday (2/18) at Dana Street Roasting Company. We're opening for my other band, Tin Cat, at its last scheduled appearance. Remember when we broke up? Yeah, I don't know. We've been practicing again--it's been fun! Also, our drummer Evan will be back with us for the show. So if you're in the area, come check this one out.
And since I'm plugging, Altamont Pass's first San Francisco show is next Thursday (2/17) at the Beale Street Bar & Grill. I've never been there, but according to the web site it's "curiously abstract." Details on those and other shows are here.
