Brought only one instrument--the acoustic mandolin--and once again found myself unable to think of two songs I wanted to play, so wrote a new one. When I started writing, it was about the space shuttle. By the end of the first verse I didn't know what it was about. When it was finished it was about thinking too much. The words "this" and "sky" in the first line stayed in all the way through, though.
I think this was the first time I've plugged an upcoming gig. I'm mostly comfortable playing in front of people these days, but I'm a little at a loss talking in front of them, and it turns out I don't enjoy self-promoting at all. But I guess it'll come with practice.
