the eighth wonder of the world

Well, Jack Black is perfect as the impresario, and I'd watch Naomi Watts in just about anything. But I wonder if Peter Jackson will ever make a short movie again.

It was a little long, wasn't it? Somehow, the original Kong storytellers managed to do it in a little over half the time. The 1933 King Kong runs for 100-104 minutes (depending on whether viewed with "lost" footage)

Yeah. The Lord of the Rings was a masterpiece of compression; how'd he manage to expand King Kong? Oh well.

I hear he's doing a film adaptation of William Carlos Williams' "This Is Just To Say". It comes in at a tidy 92 minutes. They cut out the bit about the icebox, though, so fans are up in arms.
