I'm trying out la la, a CD-trading service. So far I've sent out Absinthe Blind and John Zorn's first Masada CD, and I'm receiving his Naked City and an old Peter Case album.

I'm learning Ruby (on Rails). Nothing to say about that, I just wanted it known I''ve still got some hacker in me.

I liked this letter about Ann Coulter, and this article by former Lemonhead John Strohm about how he became an indie rock lawyer.

My friends Dave and Kendra are coming to the Tin Cat show tomorrow. I'm really excited to see them again.

I wish I had the energy/attention span to learn new stuff.

At first I thought that guy's name was "Elwood Rosengrant Wilkes-Barre", and I thought that was great.

Michael uses Ruby on Rails. He is really excited about it. I actually watched an online Q&A between the Ruby on Rails guy and some other, American guy with a supposedly inferior product. The Ruby on Rails guy was definitely more dynamic.

"Dynamic" is a good word. We watched a screencast of someone demonstrating Ruby on Rails techniques, and I'm not sure how impressive the technology was, but the guy sure was excited!

That would be the July 28th show at Anodyne Coffeehouse?

Dude -- update the web page. Please.

That'd be the Tin Cat (http://www.tincatland.com/) show tomorrow at Barefoot. Seriously, can I put you on the mailing list?

Oh ho! It is the Ruby time of year, I see.

I've been seriously toying with Ruby (and Rails) for about a year now, having actually been able to put it to use on a few for-pay projects. I still like Python, but Ruby has gotten me to totally fall in love with dynamic languages all over again.

Yes. I am a nerd.
