Today's one of those laugh-or-cry news days. I don't normally repeat a lot of links I got from my friends list, but it seems like a good time for a roundup.

• "Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia banned broadcast media from an appearance Wednesday where he will receive an award for supporting free speech."
  
• "If the nation escalates to "red alert," which is the highest in the color-coded readiness against terror, you will be assumed by authorities to be the enemy if you so much as venture outside your home, [New Jersey]'s anti-terror czar says."
  
• The FBI recovered a Bill of Rights, missing for 138 years.
  
• This may come as a shock, but apparently there may be some casualties if we go to war.
  
• The surrender of fifteen Iraqi soldiers makes headlines.
  
• The U.S. failed to convince Turkey not to invade Iraq when we do.
  
• Oh yes, and Iraq has attacked northern Iraq.
