I don't know Arabic, but I'm sure the translation didn't convey what Bush means by "gifted." He doesn't mean exceptional. He means ethnic.

Also: Bush addressed the Iraqi people on tv?

We're not conquering you, we're liberating you, but in case you can't read between the lines, "BOW!!! BOW DOWN BEFORE THE FACE OF YOUR NEW LEADER!! TREMBLE BEFORE HIS MIGHT!!".
