New song on the web site, "No Time to Lose." It's got those fake drums I was talking about the other night, and between that and the electric mandolin, sounds more like a rock song than most of mine do. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm not that happy with the mix on this one, but I think I've heard it too much to do any more fixing right now. There might be another revision in the next couple of weeks, but for now I have to move on to something else.

Don't know the Lilys, but yeah, now that you mention it, the verse chords on my song pretty much fit the chorus of "Save It For Later". There just aren't that many chord progressions to go around.

What I actually thought I was ripping off when I wrote it was "Blue Sky," from Patty Griffin's rock album. You can still hear pieces of her verse in my chorus, and vice versa.

You'd probably like the Lilys. The main lyrical hook in "Ginger" is
"She comes and she goes, but she mostly goes" which is some sort of
genius in my book. I have their first album (1992) and their most recent album (2003) on my secret ftp server if you're interested (ping me if you don't still have the password).

Generally well-respected folk singer. Several interesting stories about her major-label product (short version: she's made five records and released three).
