Note: Broiled polenta wedges with portabella mushroom strips and capers are not nearly as good after being refrigerated and then microwaved.
And yet still not bad. The borscht is still not quite made; I chilled it, but haven't added the buttermilk. Cooking is fun. It's too bad it takes time.

Date: 2005-09-21 12:26 am (UTC)I don't know if it's still true, but at one point I decided my favorite Lethem book was Amnesia Moon. OTOH Girl in Landscape might be a better book club book.

Date: 2005-09-21 12:39 am (UTC)Now I'm trying to remember which book he said in the interview I heard was his best novel in terms of structure (or something like that).
No rush, anyway, the next two books out have been chosen, and since they were both my selections, I'm not going to push very hard to get my selection voted on next month. (Although... that's the tactic I took last month that got Good Omens selected.)
